The role and the employer
Fresh from visiting Rotorua, Automotive Employment NZ have listed 3 roles for Automotive Technicians in this location.

The dealerships consist of 2 modern sites and a developing site which reflect the higher rates provided

As a technician, you will be performing general servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on volume brands of passenger vehicles.



Applicants of interest

• Automotive trade qualification
• Good general diagnostic skills required - preferably from a franchise environment
• Both NZ based and offshore applicants will be considered
• EV experience is advantageous but not essential
• High rates for franchise brand experienced and trained technicians

While it is of course preferable for candidates to already be located in New Zealand, these roles may also suit a skilled offshore migrant who meets the requirements.

For those unfamiliar with Rotorua, it is a tourism mecca featuring thermal activities, hot pools, and adventure tourism. The region boasts 16 lakes, forests, trout fishing, mountain biking and all facilities. It's location in the Bay of Plenty is just over 1 hour from Tauranga and Taupō .

This is a full time, permanent role offering a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Wage rates will range between $36 to $42 per hour.
