About the Role:
The Projects team is responsible for the planning and execution of small to large scale projects across Auckland for government agencies that provides a variety of projects. This can range from hard landscaping projects to build space renovations.
To be successful in this role, you will have a varied background including civil works, residential construction and ideally landscaping along with being computer savvy.
In this role, you will be hitting the ground running completing end-to-end projects, including planning, coordination, contractor and staff management.
Being a "Jack of all Trades", you are a strong and professional communicator that is naturally organized and flexible as you will be pulled into different directions as your day/week and projects progress.
This is a hands-on, in the field, leadership role! You will be working side by side with your team in the field along with overseeing multiple projects at any one time to meet the desired outcomes.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Field based hands on role requiring a broad range of carpentry skills, which requires a relevant qualification to support this. ie level 4 carpentry / BCITO / LPB advantageous.
- Organise materials, machinery and staff
- High standard of health and safety
- Maintain strong client relationships to ensure expectations are defined and understood by all parties
- Ensure all projects are closed out in accordance with established standards
- Multitask when several projects are running alongside each other
