About the Organisation:

This role will be critical in ensuring the efficient and accurate processing of all Trust transactions, payments, and journals, while also fostering improvements in processes and contributing to the overall success of the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing all Trust transactions, including payroll, payments, and journals, with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to transaction workflows to enhance efficiency.
  • Administering payroll and ensuring compliance with banking covenants and cash flow requirements.
  • Overseeing the work and development of the Payments and Transactions Officer, providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Contributing to cash flow forecasting and ensuring that the Trust's financial operations run smoothly.
  • Assisting with procurement processes and ensuring adherence to the Delegation of Authority (DOA) Policy.
  • Championing the use of TechOne software, promoting system efficiency and best practices.


What You'll Need:
To succeed in this role, you will need to be adaptable, detail-oriented, and committed to contributing to Tūaropaki Trust's mission. The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Significant experience with procurement, ERP, and payments systems.
  • A Chartered Accountant qualification or currently working towards it.
  • Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, and payment processing systems.
  • Ability to accurately process and reconcile transactions, ensuring data integrity.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Experience in automating workflows and setting up new business processes.
  • A good understanding of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • A passion for fostering a positive work environment and supporting the development of others.
