Are you looking for a fresh start in the new year?

We are now on the lookout for a registered kaiako to join our team for a fixed term period! As a kaiako with us, you will have the incredible opportunity to inspire and empower our tamariki, enriching their learning experiences and fostering their growth.

This role offers 32 hours a week from February 2025 – Feb 2026, with opportunities to go permanent!

About us:

At Busy Bees Tahunanui, we regularly organise excursions within our local community and invite local services and outside organisations to be part of our localised curriculum. We celebrate the diverse cultures that make up our centre community by acknowledging each child's unique background and incorporating these elements into our daily curriculum. This fosters a sense of belonging. We also take pride in our centre traditions, such as farewells for children when they turn 5 and transition to school!

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Huge reserves of enthusiasm and energy
  • Competency in planning, curriculum and regular and emergent reviews
  • A personality that builds and develops strong relationships with staff and parents/whānau
  • An ECE or Primary teacher qualification and registration as an ECE teacher in New Zealand
  • A nurturing, caring disposition, and passion for supporting young children to thrive
  • The ability to build and maintain responsive relationships with children and their whānau
  • Excellent communication skills
