Te Wero – The Challenge
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Facilities Lead to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facilities. This includes developing ongoing maintenance and audit plans, along with project managing minor renewals and oversight of contractors and budgets.
I ā koe - About You
As a Facilities Lead, your role will be to oversee the efficient management and operation of the Far North District's assets and facilities. You'll be responsible for ensuring that the physical environment supports and enhances the productivity, safety, and well-being of our communities. This includes managing maintenance schedules, coordinating with external contractors, overseeing health and safety compliance, and handling emergency response plans.
For this role you will need:
- Bachelors’ degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- 5 years’ experience in facilities management, building maintenance or related field
- Minimum 3 years practical expertise with operational maintenance systems

- The salary for this position is Grade 16 within Council's salary structure (Band: $85,004 to $100,005 pro rata per annum) dependent on qualifications and experience, plus Kiwi Saver.
