Job Description

Hatchery work takes place indoors and involves handling day-old chicks. The area is secure and kept extremely clean, so cleaning duties are required on days when chicks are not processed.

Cleanout work involves both indoor and outdoor tasks, such as dismantling equipment, washing sheds and gear, and helping with the movement of flocks around the farm. This work is physically demanding and often requires being on your feet for extended periods.

Due to our strict biosecurity protocols, all team members must take a mandatory 5-minute shower before entering the facility. Phones are not allowed on-site, and the workplace is smoke- and vape-free.

Before employment begins, we must verify that you do not have chickens or an aviary at your home. We also conduct reference checks, a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol testing, and a criminal history check.

Work hours are generally Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, though occasional weekend work or early starts may be required.

The starting pay rate is $26.00 per hour.
