Mō te tūranga | About the Role
Reporting through to the Senior Manager Protective Services, in your new role as Manager, Corporate Security, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing Westpac's corporate security risk management and operations relating to executives, events, and employees as they conduct business external to Westpac premises.

This role involves providing comprehensive security and threat risk mitigation and advice for material risks and threats for executive protection, event security, travel security. In addition, you will manage HR-related investigations, including internal domestic violence cases. You will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of both individuals and the broader organisation.

You will:

  • Ensure the security of Executives and Senior Leaders through proactive identification of material risks and threats and ensure effective response and implementation of suitable controls for mitigation.
  • Deliver seamless event security, ensuring the safety of all involved while maintaining a positive event experience.
  • Provide comprehensive, proactive travel security and threat management service ensuring safe and secure travel for executives and staff, including lone workers.
  • Successfully manage and conclude investigations, including sensitive HR cases, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Ensure all documentation and processes are maintained and continuously improved.

To be successful in the role, you will bring:

  • Extensive experience in executive protection, event security, and travel security.
  • Strong knowledge of security risk assessment and management in a corporate environment.
  • Experience handling sensitive investigations, including HR-related investigations and domestic violence cases.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with high-level executives, employees, and external agencies.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Expertise in law enforcement, military, or security-related fields.
  • Certification in security management or related qualifications.
  • Experience with security technology, including surveillance, tracking systems and management platforms.
