We’re looking for a Workforce Analyst – People to support KiwiRail’s workforce through data-driven insights. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior analyst passionate about people and analytics. Your insights will help shape strategic HR initiatives, including workforce planning, Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging (IDB), and Talent and Succession Planning, driving meaningful change across the organisation.
As part of our People Team, you’ll develop reports, create dashboards, and provide analytics to support decision-making. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your data skills while contributing to KiwiRail’s transformation.

We are looking for someone who is:
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel (including Power Pivot and Power Query).
- Passionate about using data to drive HR decisions.
- Familiar with data visualisation tools like Power BI or eager to learn.
- Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A clear communicator, able to present insights in a meaningful way.
- A team player, with a proactive and customer-focused approach.
