We believe our people are our greatest strength here at Te Kaunihera o Pōneke, and we are focused on ensuring everyone has the capability and working environment to thrive. Our People and Culture Strategy, He Tangata He Ahurea, is our way of ensuring we continue our journey of building a truly inclusive organisation where our people have the capability and support to be high performing. It's more than just words on a page, we can back this up with our consistently high (and still increasing) staff engagement survey scores over the last few years which is testament to the quality of our leadership and the great culture we all enjoy here at Council.

And to help us on this journey, we're looking for an outstanding Senior Culture and Capability Advisor to join our team. Āu ake mahi | What you'll do
This role is a unique opportunity where you will be working on the development, delivery and facilitation of Te Kāpuia - our new approach to Leadership and Team development here at Te Kaunihera.

Te Kāpuia is made up of two separate (but linked) development offerings. The first offering provides learning opportunities to the leader and team together. The second offering is targeted content for leaders and those aspiring to a leadership role. The focus of this role will be to consult, advise and coach leaders on which Te Kāpuia modules of development will be right for them and their team, and then to deliver those modules in either face-to-face workshops or using online blended learning. This role has a strong focus on team facilitation.

Ngā tohu me ngā wheako | Qualifications and experience
We're ideally looking for someone who has experience in these areas, to enable you to hit the ground running. You'll have senior level technical/specialist expertise in leadership development and other culture and capability projects, and experience in working with leaders. Working on multiple pieces of work at the same time, facilitating workshops and webinars along with juggling priorities is the norm in this role, so this will excite you. You'll also be someone who is agile and can pivot and adapt easily when things change. You'll be curious and keen to bring ideas to the table as well as thrive on leading projects and driving your mahi independently.

What We Offer
As a member of the Culture and Capability team you will be embraced for your collaborative style, ability to connect and have fun, whilst delivering together with passion and focus. We are good at what we do, and if you are too, you'll fit right in.

You'll be offered support, honesty, transparency and connection, as well as huge scope for growth and development. The team have a weekly anchor day where they're all in the office together (Wednesday) and the ability to work from home a couple of days per week, depending on work commitments (such as facilitation of workshops and events).
