He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:
The primary role of this position is the provision of high quality financial and business information for the Rail Network Investment Programme (RNIP) external reporting. The RNIP Reporting Team plays a pivotal role in our RNIP reporting to the Executive team and Board, as well as external stakeholders. The work this team produces is relied upon for decision-making and is prepared to a high standard.
Key accountabilities include:
- Leading the preparation of the monthly Rail Network progress reports
- Leading the sourcing of financial information and delivery metrics from business groups to meet deadlines
- Preparing monthly invoicing for Rail Network Appropriation
- Working closely and collaboratively with the RNIP reporting team and providing cover as required

Your excellent attention to detail and advanced MS Office Suite of skills will ensure your success in this role along with:
- Chartered accountant or equivalent experience
- Five plus years’ post-qualification experience in a large corporate or CA firm
- Experience in the preparation of high-quality reports and presentations
- Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
- Excellent time management and priority setting
- Demonstrated experience and ability to work closely with senior and executive management
- Proven influencing skills and ability to challenge the status quo
