He whakamārama mo te tūranga mahi | About the role:

The primary role of this position is the provision of high quality financial and business information for the Rail Network Investment Programme (RNIP) external reporting. The RNIP Reporting Team plays a pivotal role in our RNIP reporting to the Executive team and Board, as well as external stakeholders. The work this team produces is relied upon for decision-making and is prepared to a high standard.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Leading the preparation of the monthly Rail Network progress reports
  • Leading the sourcing of financial information and delivery metrics from business groups to meet deadlines
  • Preparing monthly invoicing for Rail Network Appropriation
  • Working closely and collaboratively with the RNIP reporting team and providing cover as required



Ngā pukenga e rapu nei mātou | What (skills) you will bring:

Your excellent attention to detail and advanced MS Office Suite of skills will ensure your success in this role along with:

  • Chartered accountant or equivalent experience
  • Five plus years’ post-qualification experience in a large corporate or CA firm
  • Experience in the preparation of high-quality reports and presentations
  • Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP system
  • Excellent time management and priority setting
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to work closely with senior and executive management
  • Proven influencing skills and ability to challenge the status quo
