Mō te tūranga | About the Role
The Technical Systems Analyst fulfills a vital position in our ServiceNow squad supporting the Service Owner and Technical Lead in delivering key outcomes for the business and our stakeholders in our ServiceNow Applications.
As a Technical Systems Analyst, you will:
• Participate in squad ceremonies and other collaborative sessions with our stakeholders, in particular sessions focused on product strategy, demand management and road mapping. Supporting the Service Owner and Technical Lead by helping administer the documentation surrounding these and the translation of agreed work into our backlog.
• Support the Service Owner in reviewing, prioritizing and translating day-to-day operations work related to our products, to ensure our Squad remains focused on Service Operations.
• Be a right-hand to our Technical Lead, supporting with activities such as story mapping, categorization and backlog refinement and other activities, that ensure the Technical Lead can focus on value add technical solutioning, unblocking the development team, peer review of all development work and to provide time for technical collaboration and council with the Service Owner.
• Be a left-hand to our Service Owner in the management of our IT Service Catalog, including demand management, ideation for improvements, proactive engagement with technology teams, designing catalog items and the build and testing of items directly.
The role provides a wide range of scope, enabling personal development in multiple disciplines related to product and technical management, as well as hands-on product work such as direct system development and testing.
Nā tāu rourou | What will you bring?
• 2-years’ + experience in a Technical Systems Analyst role supporting ServiceNow or similar, including development and configuration experience.
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules and functionality.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with Agile/scrum methodologies and tools.
• Excellent communication skills, customer centric mindset with ability to collaborate.
• Ability to work with stakeholders to provide clarity and deliver a high standard of technology requests.
• Understand key Controls, Standards, and Policies that govern your domain, and how they translate to solution design.
• Attention to detail to ensure the work is at or above the levels of quality required by our standards.
• Coaching/mentoring mindset on process adoption and driving improvement.
• ServiceNow qualifications advantageous.
