Our client is seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to join their team in Wellington. This role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a large-scale digital transformation project within the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing data surveys, managing and mapping data, and creating compelling data stories. Your extensive experience in the public sector and your proficiency with PowerBI and SQL will be key to your success in this role. * Opportunity to contribute to a significant digital transformation project * Utilise your expertise in PowerBI, SQL, and data management * Work within a supportive and collaborative environment What you'll do: As a Senior Data Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in establishing, growing, and maintaining our evidence base. You will work closely with our Business Insights Team, providing input into design, ensuring data quality, managing storage, and delivering comprehensive reports. Your ability to develop and execute a medium-term data plan will be essential in identifying our data needs and current sources. Your skills in designing data surveys will be utilised as we establish agency baselines. Your stakeholder engagement skills will ensure successful cross-agency collaboration. * Work closely with the Business Insights Team to support design, data quality, storage, and reporting * Develop and deliver a medium-term data plan, identifying data needs and sources * Manage, analyse, and report on workforce data * Design data surveys for agency baseline establishment * Engage with stakeholders across the public sector * Apply system thinking to view the public sector as a whole
