Position Overview
Massey University’s Farm Services Clinic within the world class ranked Veterinary Teaching Hospital is seeking a capable and proactive Technical Administrator with a strong understanding of Veterinary Clinic and technical farm operations. This role plays an essential part in supporting the operational needs of our first option Veterinary Clinic supporting student learning.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide high-level administrative and logistical support to veterinary and farm operations teams. The role requires a practical understanding of on-farm systems and inventory management — with a focus on ensuring efficient and compliant support across all veterinary operations.
This is a fixed-term full-time position until June 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate Practice Management System (PMS) records
- Coordinate the administrative aspects of farm-based clinical and teaching activities
- Welcome and assist clients, students, and visitors whilst proactively managing the clinic diary
- Support purchasing supplies, equipment, and services, including supplier engagement
- Maintain accurate records health and safety, and compliance reporting
- Liaise with farm staff to ensure smooth planning and execution of technical and operational needs
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Knowledge and experience within seasonal farming environments
- Experience working in administrative and/or reception roles
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and other digital tools
- A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams, Veterinary and farm staff
- Bachelor of Veterinary Technology or Rural Technician is desirable
