Job Description
This vacancy is in an organisation within the public sector, and would provide the successful lawyer the opportunity to work across a broad range of commercial law areas with a strong team of in-house lawyers.
About this role | Mō tēnei tūranga
This position can be based in Wellington or Auckland with genuine flexibility on offer. The commercial work is broad in nature and includes but is not limited to:
- ICT contracts
- Health Contracts
- Procurement contracts
- Legal strategy
The successful person will be working as part of a collaborative, inclusive and well supported team who are passionate about their industry and enjoy working within the public sector.
What you will bring | Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu
- Admitted Lawyer in NZ with at least 7 years PQE, however all candidates will be considered on merit
- Experience acquired in private practice or in-house in the commercial, corporate or transactional space
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with stakeholders in all areas of the business
- A general understanding or a willingness to learn Te Reo Māori and Te Tiriti o Waitangi principals and incorporating this into everyday work
- Ability to coach and mentor junior lawyers and other team memberS
- Consistently showing initiative and self-drive to achieve results
