The Role | Mō tēnei tūranga mahi
As a member of our team, you will play a role in a 24-hour housing and recovery service, providing support to a maximum of 16 people. Specifically, as a Support Worker you will offer multiple layers of support to tangata whaiora during day and into the evening.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting with cooking and cleaning
- Attending appointments with Whai ora
- Maintain data files as applicable
- Checking first aid kits and emergency kits
- Preparation of paperwork for day shifts
- Cleaning and maintaining areas of the site as requested
- The shift includes: Sunday - Wednesday 11:00pm - 7:30am
You | Mōu
We are interested to hear from people from all backgrounds and life experiences who demonstrate a caring nature towards others and are prepared to work within a recovery and trauma informed way. You will have the following:
- You must hold a current full driver’s licence
- Hold a current first aid certificate or be willing to obtain one
- Applicants must hold the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (NZCHW) or a recognised equivalent.
- Alternatively, you will commence study towards this within six months of starting your employment with Pathways. This needs to be completed within two years of commencement. Pathways offers significant support for support workers to complete this study.
