Our client is a leading global bank with NZ head offices based in the heart of Auckland's CBD. Off the back of continued growth an additional opportunity has been created for an experienced Senior Credit Analyst to specialise in the corporate and institutional lending area.

Reporting to the Head of Credit and Risk you will be responsible for

• Reviewing and recommending actions for credit applications across commercial, corporate ,institutional lending as well as trade finance and syndicated loans
• Providing input to the banks overall lending portfolio as well as alerting and advising on high risk or deteriorating customers and/or industries
• Working with credit managers, continuously helping to enhance the banks credit risk boundaries, policies and practices
• Building and maintaining appropriate internal and external relationships to build a comprehensive understanding of the current and emerging risk environments

To be successful in this role ,you will have a sound understanding of corporate and institutional lending ,risk profiles and current best practice tools. You will have recent experience working in corporate and institutional credit risk for a large bank and will have a demonstrated track record of prudent credit management in this sector. Alternatively they will consider credit approval experience in a commercial banking team. You will need strong communication skills as well as the ability to problem solve and be analytically minded.
