We are currently seeking a Carpentry Estimator/QS to join our Hamilton trades team reporting to the Carpentry & Plumbing Service Manager, you will be pricing and coordinating maintenance and project work on our corporate clients’ property portfolios.

This role would suit an existing estimator, a business owner/operator looking for a new challenge, or a qualified tradesperson with some pricing and/or project management experience, looking to move off the tools. Many of our estimators are trade staff who have transitioned through the company, and some have progressed into management positions.

About the Role:

  • Estimating/Pricing new work including upgrades.
  • Managing minor work projects, ensuring they are delivered to the required budget, quality and timeframes.
  • Managing close out documentation including variations and reconciliations.
  • Liaising with clients, our in-house Trades team and subcontractor networking.


About You:

  • Trade experienced and qualified, with NZ registration.
  • Estimating experience is preferred, but training can be provided to the right candidate.
  • Computer literate – MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A good communicator, both written and oral.
  • Able to meet deadlines and work with a high level of autonomy.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
