We're looking for an exceptional Chef to join our team in Tupuanuku Hall of Residence at University of Canterbury. This is a Permanent Part time position.
Our Chefs are at the very heart of what we do. Hundreds of thousands of people around New Zealand rely on us every day to provide their breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present food, including assembling and preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, and portioning and plating food.
- Receive and store kitchen supplies, ensuring proper storage and rotation of supplies.
- Maintain consumer satisfaction by exceeding expectations and gathering feedback.
- Develop and update industry knowledge through internal training opportunities.
- Clean and maintain kitchen premises, ensuring all areas are sanitized and well-maintained.
He kōrero mōu / About you:
- NZQA Level 4 Certificate in Cookery or equivalent.
- Previous experience cooking in a similar environment.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook and professional manner.
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously.
- Good communication skills and a flexible approach.
