Tradestaff is on the lookout for a water serviceperson to join a Napier based organisation!

Reporting to the team leader, you will assist with maintenance, new works and operation of water, reticulation and other associated infrastructure to provide safe drinking water for the Napier area.

This is a full-time role, and a permanent opportunity for the right person. You may be required to work overtime and respond to emergency callouts.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out repairs and maintenance on the Napier water supply in a timely manner
• Assist in the operations and maintenance of water reticulation networks
• Identify and report faults to the team leader
• Take responsibility to deliver superior customer service
• Assist the wider water team where required

Requirements:

• Previous manual labouring work + customer service
• Display motivation, energy and enthusiasm for the role
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Attention to detail and able to complete works to a high standard
• Prepared to work towards a National Certificate in Utilities Maintenance

What you need:

• Full class 1 license is essential; must be able to operate a manual vehicle
• Class 2 with WTR endorsement is not necessary but highly beneficial
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test & MOJ check
