He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
Compass Group NZ are looking for a Retail Manager for Tauranga Hospital. Hours of work are Permanent Full-time. The successful candidate should be passionate about food, delivering exceptional customer service and enjoy leading, mentoring and coaching staff. The role needs someone who enjoys taking a collaborative working approach, is able to lead the operational performance of their team - to achieve consistent delivery of the service requirement in accordance with Compass standards and policy.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Managing contracts to provide services
- Developing and maintaining excellent client and customer relations/ satisfaction
- Ensuring efficient and effective operation of the site within budgets, guidelines, policies and procedures
- Leading and managing a team, focusing on providing excellent customer service
- Developing and implementing staff roster while managing finances
- Monitoring compliance with our Quality Management System and Health & Safety
- Effectively manage the cost of goods and prepare management reports
- Online ordering and monitoring of catering supplies
- Coordination and management of staff rosters
- Management of the Quality Assurance Programme

- Have proven capability in the management of staff
- Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience working in the hospitality industry with supervisory experience
- Have excellent interpersonal skills, be customer focused, enthusiastic and willing to take on new challenges
- Be honest, reliable and mature
