  • We're offering a competitive salary starting from $62,500 to $68,781, depending on experience


Mō te tūnga | About the role

Join our team as an Assessor, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with the Privacy Act and Official Information Act by responding to customers who request the information we hold about them. As part of the Customer Information Requests team, you will assess customer files and make informed decisions using a risk-based approach to provide the right information. You'll communicate effectively with customers, other Oranga Tamariki teams and external agencies.

You'll also be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and participating in continuous learning and development. If you're detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of privacy legislation, we encourage you to apply.

Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What you will bring

Key requirements of the role include:

  • Customer service experience
  • An understanding of the Privacy and Official Information Acts
  • Experience with risk assessing, dealing with issues and identifying solutions
  • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
  • Knowledge and experience working with standard office software products e.g. Word, Excel
  • Sensitivity and understanding of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Māori, and Pacific peoples' culture
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant work experience is desirable
