The Museum of Transport and Technology (‘MOTAT’) is Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest science, technology and transport museum. It offers an engaging, inspiring, and fun learning experience for visitors of all ages while collecting, operating and preserving the country’s technological taonga and stories.

MOTAT’s vision is to use the past, present and future technology and ingenuity of Aotearoa to educate and inspire the innovators of tomorrow.

We are seeking candidates with a strong degree of alignment to MOTAT’s values and vision, who have the time, energy and commitment to be proactive, involved board members.

Together, board members must bring a range of experience and perspectives, and work as a team to deliver future-focused governance that combines commercial savvy with a commitment to culture and heritage, and to our communities.

To complement the skills of existing board members, we are seeking candidates who can bring experience and demonstrated professional and/or governance competence in the:
• GLAM, arts, culture, and heritage sectors.

Candidates must be Auckland-based or within driving distance of Auckland.
