This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established franchise in Frankton, Queenstown, managing our new fleet of rental vehicles with the view to expand.
We are looking for an experienced Branch Manager with car rental industry knowledge and expertise in fleet operations, customer service. You will play a key role in growing the business, managing daily operations, and leading from the front with a small team.
Key responsibilities & duties:
- Lead and develop a strong, customer-focused team.
- Oversee branch operations to meet and exceed revenue targets.
- Manage staff hiring, training, and performance, including disciplinary actions.
- Ensure efficient fleet planning and resource management.
- Implement and maintain robust policies, procedures, and operational strategies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and handle any escalated issues or complaints.
- Oversee financial processes (payroll, invoicing, accounts payable, reporting, etc.).
- Ensure health and safety compliance in all branch operations.
- Monitor daily reports and key performance metrics, taking necessary actions.
- Identify growth opportunities and propose strategic improvements.
- Maintain the fleet to company standards, ensuring all vehicles are in top condition.
We're looking for someone with the following:
- The preferred candidate would have previous experience in the car rental industry.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop from the ground floor.
- A driven mindset with a focus on revenue growth.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with fleet management and car rental software.
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak seasons.
- A valid full NZ driver's licence.
