About the role

We're looking for a Recruitment Consultant to join our People & Culture team. This role reports into the Talent Acquisition Manager and supports the Mussels and Salmon divisions of our organisation. As a specialist in recruitment, you will play a critical role in ensuring our teams based across the South Island have the right people, skill and capability in their workforce to continue to deliver valuable, safe and healthy kai moana to our customers. This isn't just a recruitment role, it's about building and fostering relationships, and shaping the landscape of our workforce through passion, care and integrity.

You will own the full recruitment lifecycle, focusing on both high-volume blue-collar positions, and white-collar roles within support functions. You'll build and maintain strong internal relationships, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and be part of a team that builds in-house capability through robust processes. Your goal will be to attract the best candidates for your stakeholders, with efficiency and purpose!

You'll bring strong relevant experience in the recruitment environment, ideally in an in-house role.

In the role you will:

  • manage the entire recruitment process from job brief to candidate placement.
  • deliver a seamless end-to-end recruitment process, acting as a trusted, credible advisor.
  • work with our Mussels and Salmon business units to manage internal and external recruitment campaigns
  • support managers to use self-service tools and implement best practice recruitment methods.
  • build strategic partnerships by collaborating closely with managers to understand their unique hiring needs and develop innovative recruitment strategies.
  • collaborate with external agencies to ensure targeted and cost-effective advertising efforts.
  • utilise diverse sourcing expertise and methods, including social media platforms, job boards, and employee referrals, to consistently attract qualified candidates.


What we're looking for

  • minimum 3 years' experience in a recruitment position
  • detail-oriented, analytical, and strong problem-solving capabilities
  • self-starter mindset with the ability to manage own workload and priorities
  • proven ability to work at pace in a complex organisation
  • experience using Snaphire or a similar ATS and experience with reporting on recruitment activities / metrics
  • proficiency with talent searching techniques and platforms (Boolean Searching, LinkedIn, SEEK Premium Talent Search etc)
  • a high degree of emotional intelligence with the ability to consult at all levels
  • experience in a manufacturing/processing environment in primary industries is preferred.
