He angitūtanga: The opportunity
We are deeply driven to strengthen and enable our communities to build connection to their whakapapa. The Poukōkiri Rangahau Māori role facilitates this mahi and seeks to develop community understanding, connection and sense of identity by guiding people to effectively use Māori heritage and research services and resources. You will be instrumental in developing and delivering high quality whakapapa and Māori research services and initiatives built on Mātauranga Māori values. Create exhibitions, build relationships within the community, and design and implement community focused initiatives.

We are seeking an individual driven to reach out and engage with Whānau Māori, Māori communities, hapu/iwi as well as organisations dedicated to common outcomes for Māori. You will be strongly dedicated to building and enhancing these relationships.

He kōrero mōu: About you
You will be well grounded in te reo Māori and tīkanga Māori . Your knowledge and experience will support communities to deepen their knowledge of and access to Mātauranga Māori and te reo Māori. You will be driven to make a significant contribution to growing awareness of Māori heritage and research across Tāmaki Makaurau and Aotearoa.

You will also be motivated by the opportunity to drive customer experience at a strategic level within the library environment, and will understand and draw on the following attributes to be successful:
