Job Description
The Business Analyst (BA) plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technological solutions. This position requires analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business processes, identify areas for improvement, and deliver data-driven recommendations to stakeholders. The BA collaborates with cross-functional teams, gathers and interprets data, and ensures that project requirements align with strategic business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:
Engage with stakeholders, clients, and end-users to understand business needs and
objectives.
Document and analyze business processes, workflows, and user stories.
Develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and Functional Requirement
Specifications (FRS).
Use techniques such as interviews, focus groups, process mapping, and surveys to gather relevant data.
Define key business metrics and performance indicators.
2. Business Process Improvement & Strategy:
Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process optimization.
Recommend improvements and develop innovative solutions aligned with business goals.
Support business transformation initiatives by ensuring efficiency in workflow processes.
Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis on proposed changes.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting:
Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis to identify trends and insights.
Develop reports, dashboards, and visual presentations for data-driven decision-making.
Assist in cost-benefit analysis and feasibility studies for proposed solutions.
4. Stakeholder & Project Management:
Serve as a liaison between business teams, IT teams, vendors, and external partners.
Collaborate with developers, designers, testers, and project managers to implement
business solutions.
Provide clear communication of requirements and updates to all stakeholders.
Monitor project progress, track deliverables, and ensure timely completion of initiatives.
5. Solution Development & Testing:
Work with software developers and IT teams to define functional and technical
specifications.
Assist in developing prototypes and wireframes to visualize proposed solutions.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document test cases to ensure system
functionality.
Provide training and support to end-users for new system implementations.
6. Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure business solutions comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with process changes and system
implementations.
Maintain documentation and audit trails for internal and external compliance purposes.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education & Certifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
MBA or relevant Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory).
Professional certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA, or Agile/Scrum certifications (preferred).
Technical & Analytical Skills:
Proficiency in Business Process Modeling (BPMN) and workflow analysis tools.
Strong understanding of databases, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
Familiarity with ERP, CRM, or other enterprise software solutions.
Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system analysis.
Soft Skills:

Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Experience:
5-7 years of experience in business analysis or related roles.
Experience in Finance, Healthcare, Technology, Retail, or Government sectors.
Exposure to AI, automation, and emerging technologies is a plus.
