Job Description
Lumino Symes de Silva is looking for a trained Dental Assistant to come on board in a Casual role. If you are studying or find yourself too busy to take up a full/ part time position and like the flexibility - this role is for you. A welcoming environment is apart of our Lumino brand and we can cater to your busy schedule and fluctuating requirements of work and, of course working with a high level reliability is a must. This role may require you to work at various practices to assist with Clinicians on some occassion's. The best part of this role is having a home base to come back to, as it can feel disconnected with contracting agencies but by having a work place to call home and always being included in any social and work events helps to feel like an appreciated member of our team.

As one of our Dental Assistants, you will work alongside our highly trained clinicians and other dental professionals to provide excellent patient care and support. You will be tasked with supporting our clinicians during various dental procedures and ensuring best practice standards are upheld, and the best patient care is provided to every patient.

You will also take control of tasks such as sterilization and infection control, ensuring all instruments and equipment are processed and sterilized following best practice guidelines. A high level of communication and prioritization is a must. We provide on-going training and development to ensure your day is busy, yet enjoyable.

Qualifications
Responsibilities

  • Assist Clinicians during dental procedures, such as taking X-rays, sterilising instruments, and preparing materials.
  • Greet patients, create an inviting atmosphere inside the surgery
  • Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for use
  • Stock and maintain dental supplies, reporting to Clinical support on requirements



The Person

  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is A MUST, at least 1 year as a Dental Assistant.
  • Excellent communication, organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work with various clinicians in the practice and available for neighbouring Lumino practices
  • Work harmoniously with your team mates, fostering inclusivity, teamwork and a positive attitude
