Our Product Governance & Capability team within Personal Banking focus on product management responsibilities associated with governance, compliance, and capability - specifically the ownership of product compliance frameworks, assurance and monitoring activities and remediation support.
We have an exciting 12-month fixed term / secondment opportunity within our Product Governance & Capability team.
Te Tūranga | The role:
As Product Manager - Good Customer Outcomes (GCO), Compliance & Governance you will support the Head of Product Governance and Capability to manage the product governance framework, processes, and forums for Personal Banking. Responsible for managing a wide range of product risk and control assurance activities (such as supporting product reviews and monitoring, supporting product changes and providing advice to the wider Product Teams) you'll be key to supporting the development of and delivery of product GCO, governance and compliance strategies and ensure the products continue to meet customer needs.
Being part of our Product team within our Personal Banking division, you will also support the development of excellence in our Product craft, driving a continuous learning culture, sharing knowledge, and upskilling each other.
Ō pūkenga | About you:
You're known for your customer centric mindset, people centred approach and openness to new ideas. You are experienced in product development, strategy, transformation, and commercial disciplines. Ideally you will have deep knowledge of retail banking products and a good understanding of the New Zealand regulatory and legislative environment for financial services. The position may also suit candidates within banking that have an audit, governance, or compliance element to their current role.
You're comfortable challenging the status quo, so that we get better all the time, and you enjoy engaging with various stakeholders and influencing people to drive outcomes. You're curious and want to understand how our products work, enjoy collaboration and problem solving, and are committed to supporting our products to deliver good customer outcomes.
