About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for two Validation Engineers to join our team. This is a key role to ensure our systems and processes meet the highest quality standard across the business. You’ll support in site projects, including new manufacturing facilities or changes made to existing facilities to ensure compliance with regulatory and customer requirement.

Key responsibilities of this role include.

  • Develop, maintain and implement the Validation Master Plans (VMP) for each facility (e.g., Blending and Canning, Dryer, etc.).
  • Develop, execute, and maintain validation documentation e.g. Installation Qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), and Performance Qualification (PQ) for equipment, processes, cleaning, and systems
  • Evaluate test data to determine if systems or processes meet validation criteria
  • Provide reports of the progress of validation against the VMP.
  • Prepare validation reports for all validation protocols executed.
  • Develop and maintain the Synlait validation documentation necessary to ensure Synlait establishes and maintains the validated state of its GMP-related manufacturing facilities, systems, and all associated utilities.
  • Develop, implement and continuously improve validation procedures and systems to meet established and/or required contractual, customer and regulatory GMP standards for validation.
  • Responsible for the validation documents generated through the validation lifecycle.
  • Work closely with manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering and projects teams to ensure validation activities are completed on time and meet quality standards


Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • Strong specialist knowledge of validation from practical experience
  • A Chemical and/or Process Engineering degree, or equivalent qualification in a related discipline is essential.
  • Experience in dairy plant operation & design or similar highly regulated industries is beneficial
  • Experience with Food Safety and HACCP systems is beneficial
  • Knowledge of NZ Infant Formula Notice & Regulatory Standards.
  • Experience with Food Safety and HACCP systems in dairy plant or similar food industry
  • Well-developed problem solving capability with strong organisational and planning skills
