He angitūtanga / The opportunity:
Join our team as a Site & Events Manager at one of our Business & Industry sites in Penrose, Auckland. You'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring smooth logistical execution of events and catering in a safe and efficient manner whilst delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role is responsible for ensuring all tasks associated with food production are performed with due regard for Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations. This is a Permanent Full Time Position.
Ko o kawenga / Your responsibilities:
- Lead and manage people, developing and promoting training for staff, and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures.
- Manage contracts to provide services, understanding the scope of work required, and maintaining consumer satisfaction.
- Develop and implement staff rosters, manage finances within a budget, and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Plan and manage events, including preparing catering concepts, operational plans, and displaying food items.
- Ensure compliance with OHS, Environment, and Food Safety legislation, and manage client services associated with the facility.

- In-depth understanding of Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment principles.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage a budget.
- Proven experience in managing successful teams and forming productive relationships with clients and individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Working knowledge of workplace regulations, including agreement requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership, organisational and multitasking skills
- NZQA Food Handling Certificate (Units 167 & 168) and experience in contract management are desirable.
