Auckland Live is the leader in performing arts, culture, entertainment, and events in Auckland Tāmaki Makaurau, and is Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest performing arts platform. Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events facilitates and delivers exceptional events, including meetings, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, and awards ceremony from 10 to 2,000 people.
Auckland Live and Conventions presents events across Auckland's major performing arts venues and stadiums - Aotea Centre, Auckland Town Hall, The Civic, Aotea Square, Bruce Mason Centre, Shed 10, The Cloud, Viaduct Events Centre, Go Media Stadium, North Harbour Stadium, Western Springs Stadium, Auckland Art Gallery and Auckland Zoo.
He angitūtanga: The opportunity
The key purpose of this role is to plan and successfully execute all catering requirements for events allocated by the Assistant Catering Manager for Auckland Live and Auckland Conventions, Venues & Events, including:
Acting as the primary liaison between clients and the catering team, and building and maintaining relationships with a range of national and international clients, internal staff and external suppliers, ensuring the organisation meets client and stakeholder expectations.
Monitoring and managing event catering financials, providing catering reporting, and responsibility for all event catering related administration.
Assisting clients in menu selection, event planning, and special requests.
Providing relevant catering reports to management pre, during and post event that contribute to the team and wider business planning as required.

He kōrero mōu: About you
To be successful in this exciting role, you will have a minimum of two to three years' catering experience in the area of meetings, Conferences, Trade Shows, Festivals, Community Events or similar, while demonstrated experience in catering planning or coordination is an advantage.
In this role you will have regular contact with internal and external stakeholders, so you will be a strong relationship builder and an excellent communicator. You will be able to easily build rapport with a range of people and have a strong customer service ethic.
You will be confident with using Microsoft suite and venue management systems, be solution focused and able to keep a level head in high-pressure situations. The role will require the ability to prioritise and manage workload, with effective use of time management skills and managing of multiple tasks.
