We are committed to our purpose of accelerating progress for all New Zealanders and our values of Integrity, Caring, Passion, Courage and United. Our strength comes from caring about our people, our customers, our community and environment. It's in our DNA!

Mo te tūranga | About the Role: Internal Communications Manager

This unique opportunity puts you at the forefront of communicating with ASB's passionate team, providing strategic advice through to tactical implementation that supports us to achieve our goals. Using a broad range of internal communications channels and tools, you'll love the variety this role has to offer - from new products to executive updates, events and uncovering stories about our who are people are and what we do. You understand the role internal communication plays in building a sense of belonging and advocacy, and enjoy turning complex issues into simple yet impactful messages that interest and engage people. You'll also recognise that although we all work for the same organisation, everyone is an individual. We all relate and respond to channels and engagement techniques differently, which is why internal communications must be more dynamic than just hitting the 'send button'.

Mōu | About you

As an internal communications expert, you are a confident storyteller with a passion for people and creative flair for best practice communications and engagement. You will thrive in both a reactive and time intensive environment and be comfortable working with moving priorities. A strategic thinker, you put our audiences first and offer impeccable advice to stakeholders at all levels of the business to deliver the right results, demonstrating and valuing tikanga Māori (cultural practices) where appropriate. It goes without saying you will be positive, motivated, love writing and have an eye for accuracy.

Te mahi ki ASB | Working for ASB

In return, you will work for an organisation that places huge importance and focus on its people, where the sky is the limit for development and career opportunities. ASB is committed to fostering a culture where people are engaged, passionate and valued - living our values every day is integral to achieving our purpose.

In our diverse and accepting environment, our people grow their agile mindset, learn, evolve and utilise their skills, while being empowered to make decisions.

We offer a flexible and supportive work environment; we help people grow and celebrate together. Be a part of the growth story that is ASB.
