The Organisation
Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki |Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA) has a long history in New Zealand in the Early Childhood Education sector, beginning in 1908 in Freemans Bay. We now have 107 kindergartens, four KiNZ centres five Playgroups, and support services staff forming our organisation.

The Role
Be part of an amazing team in a fun environment where tamariki are the focus. You will work closely with both kaiako and other support staff, as well as our kindergarten families whilst primarily being responsible for the day to day administration processes, including enrolments, accounts and providing support to the Head Kaiako and teaching team.
Things to note
- This is a permanent, part time position. There is flexibility in the 12 hours per week which can be spread over 2-3 days
- You will only be working during the Kindergarten Term time
- The terms and conditions for this position are set out in the Kindergarten Association Support Staff Collective Agreement.
To be successful in this role you will
- have previous administration and accounts experience, preferably in an Early Childhood environment, but this is not essential
- be a confident communicator displaying professional maturity
- able to build and maintain outstanding relationships with our diverse community
- be flexible, adaptable and a collaborative team player who is not afraid to pitch in where needed
- be able to self-manage, uses initiative, and work independently to achieve positive outcomes
- have strong computer skills (preferably using Mac)
- have strong attention to detail
