Job Description

Are you an experienced chef looking to join our team in Kaitaia on a casual basis?
We are on the lookout for a passionate and experienced Chef who would enjoy the opportunity to share their culinary skills with the residents at Claud Switzer Residential Care.

This site is in Kaitaia and we cater for 84 residents in a loving and caring environment – providing the same treatment as they would their own families. Not only will you be joining Cater Plus but also the family at Claud Switzer.

You will be working to a set menu and this role would suit those with knowledge and experience in preparing, cooking, and plating wholesome food.

To be successful you will need to:
- Be experienced in a commercial kitchen environment.
- Be friendly and engaging and enjoy making the day of residents by serving amazing meals.
- Have an understanding of dietary requirements, allergies, and food control regulations.
- Be an exceptional team player with a flexible and committed attitude.
- Have good time management skills.
- Be able to work safely in a commercial kitchen with large hot pots and trays.
- Be comfortable taking responsibility and able to work sole charge when necessary.
