Our client is on the lookout for a confident and hands-on Dispatch Team Leader to take charge of their dispatch operations and keep everything running like clockwork.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Dispatch Team Leader, you’ll be the engine room of the dispatch team – making sure every order leaves the site on time, packed to perfection, and ready for happy customers. You’ll lead a close-knit team, plan daily loads, solve problems on the go, and ensure the highest standards are always met.

This role is ideal for someone who loves a challenge, works well under pressure, and is keen to grow with a company that genuinely values its people.

Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:

• Running the Show: Oversee day-to-day dispatch operations and make sure everything is on schedule.
• Getting Stuck In: This is a hands-on role – you'll be right there with the team making things happen.
• Keeping It Spot On: Ensure products are labelled, packed, and sent out accurately and on time.
• Teamwork Makes the Dream Work: Work closely with Sales, Production, and Freight teams to keep things running smoothly.
• Planning Loads: Organise daily truck loads and coordinate with drivers.
• Leading the Crew: Support, coach, and guide the dispatch team to meet goals and smash targets.
• Staying On Top of Records: Keep accurate dispatch data and freight documentation.
• Problem Solving: Jump on any hiccups quickly and keep communication flowing.
• Keeping Things Safe & Clean: Ensure the dispatch area is tidy, safe, and food safety compliant.

What You’ll Bring to the Table:

• Proven leadership experience (ideally in dispatch, warehousing, or logistics)
• Good understanding of freight or transport operations (a bonus!)
• Confident using warehouse systems and Microsoft Office (e.g. Dynamics)
• Cool under pressure – literally! You’ll be working in a chilled environment (~3°C)
• Forklift licence, or willing to get one
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills
• Great communication – friendly, clear, and team-focused
• A flexible, positive attitude – always ready to lend a hand and keep things moving
