The opportunity

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this is a great opportunity to further develop your skills in the commercial aspects of finance.

The role involves analysing key drivers of financial performance, contributing to board reporting, and supporting financial planning and strategic projects, including potential mergers and acquisitions. Working closely with diverse teams, the Commercial Analyst will provide critical insights to drive strategic growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial performance analysis: Identify and quantify the key drivers of financial performance, providing insightful commentary on variances.
  • Board reporting: Assist in preparation of commercial reports and combine complex financial data into clear presentations.
  • Financial planning & analysis: Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • M&A analysis: Provide analytical support during mergers and acquisitions processes.
  • Ad-hoc projects: Undertake analyses and contribute to strategic initiatives as required.


The Person

The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a proactive and detail-oriented approach. You will thrive in dynamic environments and demonstrate strong relationship management skills. With financial modelling and communication skills, you will bring your initiative to deliver meaningful analysis to aide in driving results for the organisation.

Key Experience:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • At least two years of experience in a comparable finance role.
  • Proven analytical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience with Power BI is advantageous.
