We are looking for a part time support worker with experience working with intellectual disabilities. The shifts are Wednesday 10am-2pm in Island Bay and Saturday 10am-3pm in Kingston.

You will support people in their home and community to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives to achieve their personal dreams and goals by doing the things they want to do such as going swimming, attending sporting events, arts and crafts, movies, or shopping - the list is endless!

People who are passionate about helping others, are kind and understanding.
Good communication skills
Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, including experience working with youth.
Full driver's license and owning your own vehicle is essential.
A desire to support people to learn new skills and achieve outcomes.
Somebody who has the initiative to push people for their goals, is energetic, outgoing, and can think outside the box. You need to be respectful of others thinking, and their way of living life that may be different to your own.
Empathy, respect, and cultural awareness is important in this role as the people we support come from diverse backgrounds with varying needs and interests.
