At Christchurch BMW and Mini Garage we pride ourselves on leading customer service and top of the line products.

As business grows, a role has opened for a customer focused Vehicle Groomer / Yard Hand / Driver to join our team.

This is a fast paced and fun role, one minute you could be washing the yard to a high standard, next minute you're out driving, helping pick up or drop off a car, often brand-new cars might we mention!

We will teach you the best ways to efficiently wash cars, from a maintenance wash to a full groom inside and out. We've been doing it a long time so have some of the best methods up our sleeves, but we also encourage our team to bring their own tips and tricks to the table!

The role focusses around cleaning customers vehicles after they are finished in the workshop before the customers collect. Meaning a huge variety of cars.

Often this means being out in the beautiful sunshine, having one headphone in enjoying your music!

We pride ourselves on customer service, this is the core of our business and the reason for our success.

Though this isn't a customer facing role, we do expect you to be able to help customers where needed, be polite and have some chit-chat if you need to drop off or pick up a customer.

We're a fun bunch of people that love some banter, we're also big on looking out for each other, nobody left behind.

We'd love someone who can work independently but also in a team, be trusted, isn't afraid to help out and brings a smile to work every day!

Now the nitty-gritty stuff, we're looking for someone who has the following skills:

• A good level of physical fitness, lots of walking means lots of steps on your smartwatch!
• Full clean drivers' licence with ability to drive manual vehicles (if you can drive manual but are a bit dusty, apply anyway!)
• Reliable and shows up to work on-time
• The ability to work unsupervised
• An eye for detail and quality
• Initiative, good common sense and willing to help out wherever needed

No experience required whatsoever! Just bring the above skills and a smile!

This is a great step in the door to the Automotive Industry and has the opportunity for growth and promotion for the right person! A lot of people in the industry will tell you "I started out as a groomer!"

Oh! One last thing, it's a Monday to Friday role so weekends all to yourself!
