Our client is in the financial services sector and is looking for a Security Operations Lead to join their fast paced team. The key objective is to drive and manage key security initiatives whilst also mentoring a small team. This role would suit a Senior Analyst or Specialist looking to step into a people leadership role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a small team, ensuring cybersecurity initiatives are delivered effectively.
• Coordinate cybersecurity programs, working closely with internal and external teams to track progress and respond to incidents.
• Promote security best practices across the organisation by educating staff and raising awareness of emerging risks.
• Develop and enforce policies to maintain compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
• Oversee incident response plans, ensuring swift and effective resolution of security issues.
• Analyse penetration testing results, interpret vulnerabilities, and lead remediation efforts.
• Evaluate new technologies, ensuring alignment with security best practices and compliance requirements.

What You’ll Need:

• 5+ years in cybersecurity. You are at a senior level now and looking to take the next step into people leadership
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to tackle complex cybersecurity challenges.
• Leadership ability to manage relationships across various teams.
• Risk management expertise, with a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating security threats.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• A continuous improvement mindset, always looking for ways to enhance security processes and systems.
