A strong work ethic and the ability to foster long-lasting client relationships are essential. Mentoring junior lawyers and supporting their professional development will also be a key component of your responsibilities. While a transferrable client base is desirable, it is not essential. There is potential for career advancement, including the possibility of stepping up into partnership, now or in the future. Flexible working arrangements are available, with the option to work between multiple office locations as needed.
Your key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Manage a practice in either Commercial Law or Trusts and Estates Law.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
- Provide pragmatic, outcome-focused legal advice.
- Mentor and support junior lawyers in their professional development.
- Contribute to team and culture development initiatives.
Mōhou ake | About you
- A Senior Lawyer with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in a law firm
- Ability to build rapport and maintain excellent client relationships
- Strong technical competency and familiarity with the latest legal systems
- Holds a current New Zealand practicing certificate
