Te Tūranga – About the role
The Lower North Island (LNI) Fleet Specialist is part of a high-performing Transport team across two North Island sites, focused on planning and executing efficient delivery of FMCG products from distribution centres to members and suppliers. The role supports fleet operations, tactical planning, safety compliance, and continuous improvement.

Other responsibilities include:
· Co-ordinate and optimise multi-model freight operations across the Lower North Island, ensuring efficient route planning, scheduling, and capacity utilisation.
· Manage the allocation and performance of company drivers, owner-drivers, and subcontractors to maintain service excellence and resource efficiency.
· Collaborate with dispatch teams and distribution centres to ensure timely arrivals, departures, and accurate load planning using the Transport Management System (TMS).
· Support operational issue resolution, real-time fleet monitoring, and adherence to safety compliance standards and regulatory requirements.
· Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including pallet staging, supplier pickups (forklift licence required), and fostering a proactive safety culture.

He kōrero mōu - About you
You will have a strong background in dispatch or transport operations, with the ability to manage logistics in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment. They should demonstrate excellent communication, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety compliance.

Other requirements include:
· Minimum 2 years’ experience as a dispatcher, ideally in a warehouse or transport setting.
· Must have completed a bachelor's degree or higher
· Strong technical skills in transport management systems and load planning.
· Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
· A forklift licence and commitment to safety, continuous learning, and teamwork.
