About the Role:
OneStaff Tauranga is seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator for a client in the construction and manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for someone with strong welding skills and hands-on experience in metal fabrication, working on a variety of structural and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabrication and welding of steel structures, machinery components, and other metal products.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings to ensure precise measurements and quality fabrication.
• Using various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and ARC) to join and shape metal components.
• Cutting, grinding, and assembling materials according to project specifications.
• Inspecting and testing welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with industry standards.
• Operating fabrication machinery, including presses, cutters, and drills.
• Ensuring all work meets health and safety standards and company quality requirements.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in welding and metal fabrication (minimum 2+ years preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately.
• Competency in MIG, TIG, and/or ARC welding across various materials.
• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools, including grinders, drills, and measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of workplace safety practices and use of PPE.
• Relevant welding certifications (advantageous but not required).
