About us | He kupu mō mātou

Our Pahiatua site sits in the heart of the Manawatu region and specialises in producing whole milk powder that is exported to markets around the world. During peak milking season, Pahiatua processes up to 4 million litres of milk every day.

About the opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga

We have an opportunity for a talented and committed operator to join our high performing team on a permanent basis.

Your self-motivation, mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot will contribute to the high precision and stable running of our plant.

Working on rostered shift pattern of four on and four off (2 days, 2 nights and four off) this is a fantastic opportunity to advance your career and be part of a highly motivated and supportive team.

As an operator, you'll be working in a control room or on the factory floor where your key responsibilities may include:

  • Setting up, checking, and running automated production machinery
  • Performing quality checks to ensure production meets world class standards
  • Running machine diagnostics and problem solving
  • Ensuring documentation is correct and complete

Your strong mechanical aptitude, planning and sound problem-solving skills will ensure things run smoothly; you won’t just find the problem, you'll be part of finding and implementing the solution.

Together with a good work ethic and a strong focus on health and safety, you’ll be able to show a background of:

  • Proven reliability as a team member
  • Participating and contributing to a high performing team
  • Strong computer literacy
  • Strong focus on documentation and compliance
  • Food manufacturing experience (advantageous)


To be successful in this role you will have strong self-motivation to learn and develop, have a passion for continuous improvement, and a strong safety mindset which will set you up for success in this role.

Your mechanical aptitude will allow you to build understanding of the computerised machinery, and alongside this your strong attention to detail will ensure you keep an eye on quality control and maintain product to customer specifications.
