Job Description
About the Role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
The National Manager Prosecutions & Support provides leadership and management of MPI's prosecutions, including prosecutions undertaken by counsel outside MPI, and infringement processing.
There are three teams which you'll lead – two prosecutions teams, and an infringement team, each of which have a team leader. The greater focus of this role is to support the prosecutions teams.
This role will also provide leadership to two employment lawyers, and support staff who are responsible for the likes of staff delegations and gazette notices.
You'll regularly liaise with and support compliance directorates across MPI, as well as provide support to MPI's People and Capability Directorate, as needed.
You'll be responsible for leading your teams in such a way that it's engaged, forward looking and striving for improvement, and ensuring collaborative relationships with others at MPI are maintained and productive.
About You - Mōu

Experience in an agency with regulatory responsibilities is desired, but not essential.
As some travel to regional offices is required, you must have a current full New Zealand driver licence (not temporary, learner, or provisional) or equivalent full foreign drivers licence, and any endorsements required for the type of driving you'll be doing.
You do not need to meet all the role requirements to apply. We offer a breadth of development and learning opportunities and will welcome an application if you think you could make a great fit.
About the Team - Mō tō mātou Rōpū -

No two days are alike in this role, and the depth and breadth of the prosecutions work is fascinating and fulfilling.
