About us:
BestStart Gillies Ave seeks a dedicated Centre Manager to join our team. As leaders in early childhood education, we emphasize quality and research, contributing to the Oral language and Self-regulation study with around 1,600 pre-schoolers.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Centre Manager for BestStart Gillies Ave, with strong relational skills and experience in mentoring a team to achieve professional growth and improve positive outcomes for Tamariki. A passion for providing an inclusive team culture and experience in internal evaluation cycles and reviews is essential.
Our centre, licensed for 65 children, is located near Melville Park in Auckland, where preschool children immerse themselves in the natural environment through our Forest Kindy program.
With easy motorway access and city links, the ideal candidate will be a strong leader with 2-3 years of experience in a Centre Manager role. We are open to candidates looking to step up into a Centre Manager role.
Excitingly, our playground will undergo a revamp next September, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to our evolving environment.
This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week Monday-Friday
Role requirements:
- Commit to making a difference in the lives of young learners with a team dedicated to excellence. We are looking for the following:
- B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE) and current teacher certification
- Strong understanding of child-led curriculum, pedagogy and curriculum
- Demonstrate good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
- A strong commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi through pedagogical practices
- You’ll be known for being a great coach, who can unlock the potential of others, you will have previous leadership experience
- You are an innovator, both in input and output – being part of simplifying the way we do things excites you!
