Mō te Tūranga | About the Role

This role can be based in Auckland or Wellington. It is a hybrid role with two days where you can work flexibly.

What are 5 day to day tasks the person in this role will complete?

  • Collaborate with the various integration product teams develop and innovate new solutions into our ever-growing Integration product suite.
  • Working with developers and infrastructure teams to help develop automation solutions for hardware deployment into integration platforms.
  • Focus on CI/CD (continuous integration and continuous development) pipeline for Cisco ISE platforms.
  • Security focused approach for application and integration platform to expose vulnerabilities beyond the business requirements.
  • Contributing to a shared focus on continual improvement.
  • Participating in agile ceremonies including stand up, retrospective, planning and demonstration. Undertaking collaborative related activities to assist the team to deliver on its commitments.

What technical skills are REQUIRED for this role?

  • Experience in an enterprise environment as a Technical Specialist or Engineer
  • Maturing Cisco ISE in the bank
  • Automation experience using: Python, Bitbucket / Github, bash, Terraform, Ansible or others
  • Domain: Cisco ISE, Checkpoint firewalls, Network capability with Cisco
  • OS: Checkpoint Maestro and Primarily Windows, but some Linux
  • Platforms: Virtual machines on premise and in cloud
  • DevOps and CIDC experience
  • Agile/SCRUM/KANBAN
  • Thoughtful decision making based on teams’ strategic direction
  • An Also advantageous is high levels of proficiency with ALGOSEC, Terraform, Ansible as well as banking of financial services experience.

We are looking for someone with some, or lots of experience in mentoring, coaching, and training team members. The key is you must be passionate and keen to take others on the journey with you and foster a collaborative and growth-orientated environment.

In addition, the first questions we would ask you are:

  • Do you have Cisco ISE experience?
  • Do you have Firewall experience?

To thrive as a Technical Specialist in our Network Protection Team, you will be passionate about high level networking concepts and how the different layers interact; and understand fundamental security controls.  You will also be able to actively participate in a team environment, demonstrate good communication skills and are excited to learn new network and cloud technologies so you can share your knowledge with other teammates.
