The Role

As a Quantity Surveyor based in Auckland, you will be responsible for managing all costs related to technology infrastructure projects, ensuring financial efficiency and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing project plans and preparing detailed quantity estimates
  • Analysing material and labour costs to develop accurate budgets
  • Negotiating contracts with contractors and vendors to secure favourable terms
  • Monitoring project expenditures and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Preparing comprehensive reports, including risk assessments and financial analyses
  • Collaborating with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met


What You’ll Need

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the technology or telecommunications sectors in New Zealand.
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in cost estimation and financial analysis software
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
