BestStart Hobsonville is on the hunt for a dedicated and heart-centered Head Teacher who is passionate about the RIE/Pikler philosophy. Set in the vibrant, history-rich community of Hobsonville, our brand-new childcare center is ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children.

A century ago, the original building on our site was the Hobsonville Kindergarten, which holds heritage status. We have lovingly restored this historic building to preserve its rich history and built a modern wing to complement the old, creating a harmonious blend of tradition and innovation with state-of-the-art facilities to support a contemporary learning environment.

We’re looking for an Infants team leader who shares our vision of fostering a nurturing, supportive space and is committed to holistic early childhood education.

This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week.

Role requirements:

We're looking for a natural leader who shares our values and vision who has a good understanding of programme planning and assessment as well as a drive and passion for growth.

As well as:

B Ed/Dip Teaching Level 7 (ECE or Primary) and current Teacher Certification
A strong understanding of programme planning, pedagogy and curriculum
Good knowledge of the current ECE Regulations, Te Whariki and hold compliance in a high regard
Passion and commitment for teaching and learning with a focus on delivering quality
