We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled Solid Waste Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and execution of waste management strategies that align with both environmental and regulatory standards.

I ā koe - About You
The Solid Waste Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing solid waste management systems and effective management of associated contracts.
The successful candidate will work on projects related to waste disposal, recycling and other sustainability initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in helping to shape the future of waste management practices in the Far North.
For this role you will need:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental or similar).
- Minimum 5 years in the Solid Waste industry.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems preferred
- Experience in the Operation and Maintenance of closed landfills
- Full understanding of Recycling and Waste Management
- Comprehensive understanding of the Impact of Waste on the Environment
- Knowledge of Health and Safety Standards relating to Solid Waste and Recycling Services
- Technical skills, including Waste Management systems and environmental regulations
