We are currently recruiting for a Welder/Fabricator to join a reputable engineering firm in Christchurch. This role is mostly workshop based however there will be some steel installation required on residential sites from time to time.

Key tasks:

• Read and understand all drawings
• Metalwork fabrication
• MIG Flux Core and MIG Solid Wire welding
• Some site welding/installing may be required
• Working to tight deadlines

Skills & attributes required:

• Ideally hold a trade qualification
• Ability to work unsupervised and complete jobs from start to finish alone
• Ability to fabricate accurately from drawings
• Class 2 Drivers License is advantageous (This can be helped to be obtained for the right candidate)
• A strong commitment to Health & Safety
